There has been growing speculation in recent weeks over the future of Islington Play Association (IPA), and we are now in a position where we have greater clarity and can share more detail about the future of the organisation.
Paradise Park Children’s Centre Nursery
We recently reached a mutual agreement with Islington Council that the nursery will remain open and operated by IPA until 22nd July. Both IPA and the council have been in direct contact with all affected families to share plans for interim childcare, available to existing PPCC families, where alternative childcare arrangements have not yet been made.
Adventure Playgrounds
It is with regret that the adventure playgrounds will also no longer be run by IPA from 22nd July 2026. The council has confirmed it will be taking over provision of the service at Crumbles Castle, MLK, Lumpy Hill and Timbuktu from 23rd July 2026 so that the playgrounds will remain open.
