Physical development (PD) encourages young children and babies to explore their body in order to develop large and fine motor skills. They learn good hand-eye co-ordination, good control and how to handle risk taking equipment. Young children and babies also develop the importance of health and self-care routines enabling them to independently assess risk taking activities as well as take part in their personal hygiene routines with some or no adult support.
