This Summer, Islington Council is offering children from low income families the opportunity to get a free healthy lunch every day throughout the school holidays, while enjoying fun activities with their friends. They will be looked after by experienced play workers.
If your child is aged 6-12 (year 1 to year 7) and you are on benefits or a low income (your household income is less than £16,190 per year) your child/ren will qualify.

It’s taking place at a few locations across Islington, so you can choose the one which is best for you.
- Cornwallis Adventure Playground – children can stay and play from 9-1, and 2-5.30. Lunch is served at 12pm. Parents can drop children off and pick them up, or children aged 9-12 can go by themselves.
- Lumpy Hill Adventure Playground – children can stay and play all day from 10.30am, lunch is served from 12:30-2pm. Parents can drop children off and pick them up, or children aged 9-12 can go by themselves.
- Prior Weston School – children will need to arrive at 12 and leave at 2pm. Parents can drop children off and pick them up, or children aged 9-12 can go by themselves.
- Islington Central Library – children can stay all day, lunch is served at 12pm Parents will need to stay with children aged 6-8, and children aged 9-12 can go by themselves.
