IPA are working closely with Greenspace, parks and local organisations like the friends of the park to redesign the entrance to Paradise Park from Sheringham road. Hoping to make a fully integrated entrance that welcomes users to the adventure playground, the farm and the park. Currently the ’road’ named Chalfont road is a left over from a long gone era and is not actually a road at all. The group wish to see the space fully integrated into the park and to be playable, fun and welcoming whilst also maintaining safe access for the farm and other organisations to get deliveries and move things about.

The first stage towards the vision has been the installation of a fire gate which has stopped people parking in the park and now the painting project which will see the pavement outside and the external walls of Martin Luther King Playground be revitalised and coloured in an amazing design by Matthew Wang, an artist from Central St Martins. Matthew has been working with local children for over six months to develop the ideas and his collaborative way of working means that the children themselves are doing much of the designing and painting.
