Revitalising the adventure playground for children under 5

Revitalising Paradise Park

Paradise Park garden was built in 2007, and whilst we have updated and maintained it, it is now time for a refresh. With money from the People’s Postcode Lottery, we can now work with the children and staff of our children’s centre to create a space that works both to provide an outside classroom, and a community garden that local families can enjoy.

We will base our redesign on the ideas of the nursery children and children who enjoy the space during our community café hours, with additional elements that we know will encourage outside play and activity for our users. The design will include walkways in the trees, sand play, water play, climbing opportunities, swings, a fire pit and growing areas. We believe that children need exciting, stimulating outside play spaces to encourage physical activity, and it is time for our playground to have a fresh look and new play opportunities.
