Wild and Free: Summer Photography Project: Capturing Play Through Children’s Eyes

This summer, we were thrilled to collaborate with photographer Jess Bain on a unique, creative project funded by the Arts Council and co-produced with the children on our Adventure Playgrounds.

Please click below link to see the special moments!

Children, young people, and playworkers were given cameras and invited to document everyday life on the playgrounds. In true adventure playground spirit, they were encouraged to take the lead, explore freely, and experiment with their ideas.

From taking the photographs to selecting their favourite images and shaping the stories behind them, the children were involved in every step of the process. Their perspectives, creativity, and voice are at the heart of this project.

The result is a vibrant, playful, and powerful collection of images that celebrate childhood, community, and the joy of adventure play.
