Personal, social and emotional development (PSED) encourages young children and babies to build relationships with others. By forming special friendships they are able to play co-operatively with their peers. Young children and babies learn to be aware of emotions, developing self-awareness, self-confidence and self-worth. This enable children to understand and discuss their feelings as well as those of others, to recognise what is right and wrong and to become independent.
