Why Play Matters

In-kind donations help keep our playgrounds supplied with essentials!

Our Wish List

We depend on the friendly and generous companies and individuals that provide us with in kind donations. Whether its sports equipment, paints or bags of pasta, these are the types of resources that are valuable to a local charity like us. Below are a few examples of items that we particularly need for our nursery and adventure playgrounds.

We are also keen to receive any other items or services that we could use as raffle prizes as we love a good raffle!

Healthy Food – tins, pasta, cereal, fruit etc

Playing is serious business and requires a lot of energy. We provide the children with healthy snacks so that they can keep playing all day.

Wellington Boots and Waterproof Jackets- all sizes

We encourage children to play outdoors come rain or shine. Wellington boots and waterproof jackets help us keep them dry while they jump and splash outside in the rain.

Pots and Pans

The adventure playgrounds have a number of budding chefs who love to cook. Pots, pans and other kitchen utensils allow us to run playful cooking sessions with the children. And it’s not just the older children, our nursery children also love to cook in their mud kitchen.

Sports Equipment

Our children are super active and love to play sports, especially ball games like football and basketball. We’re after any usable sports equipment, from footballs and cricket bats to tennis racquets and skipping ropes.

Paints

Emulsion paints, acrylic paints, face paints… if it’s paint we’ll probably want it. Emulsion paints allow us to keep our building structures looking vibrant and inviting, while poster and acrylic paints are great for arts and craft activities. Face paints? Well, who doesn’t love having their face painted?

Tools and DIY Equipment

A lot of work goes in to maintaining our children’s centre and adventure playgrounds. We have lawns to mow, bushes to cut back, structures to build and fruit and vegetable patches to maintain. Saws, spades, hedge trimmers, wheelbarrows and the like are all super handy tools that we could use.

Wood Chip/Play Bark

We’re always in need of wood chip so that we can cover the ground around our outdoor structures and create safe spaces for children to play.
