Early Years Workers at Islington Play Association
POST: Early Years Workers (2 posts: one to start asap, the other by September 2018)
HOURS: 35 hours per week
SALARY: £20,310 to £21,459 (LBI NJC Scale 3)
LOCATION: Paradise Park Children’s Centre
RESPONSIBLE TO: Nursery Manager/Deputy

HOURS: 21 hours per week including some evening and weekend work
SALARY: £35,000 – £39,000 pro rata

Play is what children do when they are allowed freedom to explore their world. Our playgrounds are unique exciting places where no two days are the same. Expect to be amazed and inspired by the depth and breadth of the innovative and original ideas of children at play.

We are a highly respected organisation in the world of play delivering excellent, high quality services making a real difference for the children of Islington. We run six adventure playgrounds, including one specifically designed for disabled children, Paradise Park Children’s Centre and a range of other play focused projects across the borough. Our aim is to continue to expand our services and to ensure that we have a wide ranging offer for the children, young people and families in Islington.

In a time of reducing budgets and increasing need, we are looking for a Development Manager who can tell our stories, galvanise support and find new ways to fund more play.

As part of the senior team, you will develop and deliver our income strategy with support from a passionate trustee and staff team. You will be creative, tenacious, and an outstanding communicator with a successful track record in diversifying and growing income.

Sessional Playworker Vacancies at Islington Play Association

SALARY: £10.93 per hour, including holiday pay
LOCATION: Various venues and adventure playgrounds throughout Islington
RESPONSIBLE TO: Playground Coordinator

Islington Play Association is a vibrant, proactive children’s charity. Our aim is simple – to create, provide, improve and protect places for the children of Islington to play. Play is what children do when they are allowed freedom to explore their world. Our Adventure Playgrounds are unique exciting places to work where no two days are the same. Expect to be amazed and inspired by the depth and breadth of the innovative and original ideas of children at play.

We are looking for creative, playful people to become part of the teams at our adventure playgrounds and early years setting. This post would suit someone who wants to work flexibly on an as and when basis. We particularly need sessional playworkers in the school holidays, and have some opportunities during term time.
