CURRENT VACANCIES:

Adventure Playground Manager

Job Title: Adventure Playground Manager 

Responsible to: Head of Adventure Play

Salary: £30,012

Hours: 35 hours per week

Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays (pro rata equivalent) + 1 day per year up to 30 days 

Location: Various adventure playgrounds throughout Islington 

This role is the lead playworker on an Islington adventure playground. You will manage a small team and be responsible for the day to running of one of our unique sites.  We are open to applicants from many fields, including adventure play and playwork.  Maybe you’re form early years, youth work, scouting?  We are interested in meeting people who view children with unconditional positive regard, who think children deserve the best, and who, like us, are passionate about supporting children and young people and their right to exciting outdoor play.

Deputy Playworker

Responsible to: Adventure Playground Manager

Salary: £20,472  LBI NJC Scale 2

Hours: 35 hours per week

Sessional Playworker

Job Title: Sessional Playworker

Responsible to: Adventure Playground Manager

Salary: £11.83 per hour, including holiday pay

Hours: as and when

Location: Various adventure playgrounds throughout Islington

We are looking for creative, playful people to become part of the teams at our adventure playgrounds during school holidays. They will also have the chance to support children’s play during exciting street events organised in partnership with the Museum of London

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to lead a happy nursery in Islington, where we focus on encouraging children to be children, learning through fun and engaging play. We educate and care for children aged from 0 to 5, following the core Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, incorporating learning in an indoor/outdoor environment where free play, fresh air, exposure to the natural world and physical activity are an integral part of learning.

You will be working with a dedicated team in a caring, family-friendly, characterful and stimulating environment which is inviting to children, parents and staff.

The Nursery Manager works closely with the IPA team whilst also being expected to take responsibility for every day management responsibilities of running the setting, to make decisions considering the reputation and financial aspects of the business whilst also balancing a high degree of sensitivity to the needs of children and families. We envisage an expansion of our nursery in the next period and you will be integral in creating the new working models.
