People and Business Support Manager 
 

Are you an efficient and capable person who has an eye for detail, an understanding of people and who wants to make a difference in a community? 
We are looking for someone to manage the administration of our central office, keeping our policies and processes up to date, ensuring all information about our people is efficiently and effectively stored and communicated and supporting us to give Islington’s children fantastic play opportunities. 
Our charity runs groundbreaking play provision across the borough of Islington and provides five fabulous Adventure Playgrounds and an exceptional Children’s Centre. 
This is a new post within our friendly and supportive central team and you’ll be a key part of our plans for the future. 

What we are looking for: 

  • An excellent communicator who is good at working with people from all backgrounds and can produce high quality documents and reports 
  • An experienced administrator who is efficient and who can prioritise and work to deadlines 
  • Proficiency in the use of technology, Microsoft office and other systems 
  • Someone who has experience of working in business support or development or in a project co-ordination or governance 
  • A commitment to our charity’s mission and purpose and to our ethos of inclusion and equality of opportunity. 

What we can offer: 

  • Salary: £17,618 – £16.09 per hour (fte £29,364)  
  • Part time hours: 21 hours a week – to be worked in a pattern agreed between you and your line manager 
  • Hybrid working with at least one day working from one of our sites to be agreed between you and your line manager 
  • Holiday: 15 days a year plus bank holidays (25 days fte) 
  • Pension: company scheme with 5% contribution

Premises Manager 

Do you have experience managing and maintaining buildings and outdoor spaces? Could you help us maintain and develop our playgrounds and our children’s centre so that we can give Islington’s children safe and fantastic play opportunities?  Our charity runs groundbreaking play provision across the borough of Islington and provides five fabulous Adventure Playgrounds and an exceptional Children’s Centre. We are looking for someone to support the maintenance and safety of our sites, helping us to keep them safe and secure and in great condition. This is a new post within our friendly and supportive central team and you’ll be a key part of our plans for the future. 

What we are looking for: 

  • Experience in maintenance and the ability to undertake minor repairs or upkeep. 
  • An excellent communicator who is good at working with people from all backgrounds and who is efficient and who can prioritise and work to deadlines  
  • Someone with an understanding of safety and security and who understands how important it is to adhere to health and safety requirements 
  • A commitment to our charity’s mission and purpose and to our ethos of inclusion and equality of opportunity. 

 What we can offer: 

  • Salary: £16,504 – £15.07 per hour (fte £27,507)  
  • Part time hours: 21 hours a week – to be worked in a pattern agreed between you and your line manager 
  • Variety of locations across Islington 
  • Holiday: 15 days a year plus bank holidays (25 days fte) 
  • Pension: company scheme with 5% contribution

Early Years Worker

  • Hours: 35 hours a week, all year round.
  • Salary: £26,193 – £27,060
  • Located: Paradise Park Children’s Centre, Islington
  • Responsible to: Nursery Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, energetic and experienced early years worker to join our team at Paradise Park Children’s Centre.

Are you an excellent practitioner with the ability to create a culture of curiosity, awe and wonder in beautiful and natural surroundings? Are you driven to truly ‘make a difference’ in the lives of each and every child in your care? Do you have an Early Years Qualification equivalent to NVQ L3 or above? If so then we really want to meet you.

We’d love you to become part of our happy nursery in Islington as a key worker, focussing on encouraging children to be children, learning through fun and engaging play. We educate and care for children aged from 0 to 5, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

You will be working with a dedicated team in a caring, family-friendly, characterful and stimulating environment which is inviting to children, parents and staff.

Sessional Playworker

  • Post: Playworker (Sessional)
  • Hours: As required during opening times. Playgrounds opening hours are: Term time: Tuesday-Friday 3.15-6.45 and Saturday 12-5.00; School holidays: Monday to Friday 10.00-6.00.
  • Salary: £13.39 per hour, including holiday pay
  • Located: Various venues and adventure playgrounds throughout Islington
  • Responsible To: Playground Manager

OVERVIEW: Playworkers put children’s play first. As a member of IPA’s pool of sessional workers you will be offered a range of job opportunities in the borough of Islington. We are particularly looking for people to work at our adventure playgrounds throughout school holidays. The position is sessional and you will be recorded on our pool list and will be contacted when work is available.
