Throughout history women have been at the helm of social change and tackling injustice. IPA worked with the Islington Children and Young People Voluntary Sector Forum to highlight the contributions made by ordinary women in the borough – getting things done through passion, dedication and commitment. The voluntary sector has been at the core of social action and tackling injustice throughout British history. We are currently experiencing further political change that will impact on the lives of children and young people
The Women Making a Difference Conference illustrated and highlighted the remarkable impact women have had on our borough and beyond – and the difference that their passion, dedication and commitment has made to the environment and lives of children and young people in Islington.
The conference celebrated achievements of women in the voluntary sector, connect people with each other, and inspire young women to see what is possible to achieve by activism and involvement.
