Wendy has worked with Islington adventure playgrounds since 1994, before joining Islington Play Association as a Treehouse Project Worker in 2009. As part of the ‘Treehouses for Islington’ project she worked with children at 24 sites across the borough, helping them to build their own treehouses, shelters and dens. Since then she has gone on to become the Play Practice Manager before being promoted to her current role as Services Director.

Through our adventure playgrounds we give children the chance to have the freedom to do what they want to do and be seen as a valuable member of the community.
What is your favourite childhood play memory?
"Sitting on the kerb outside my house, scraping the cement off the bricks in the wall to remove one. And then scraping the brick on the floor to make dust which mixed with my spit to make paint."
